Nikki Pressley was born in Greenville, SC and now lives and works in Los Angeles. She attended Furman University (BA 2004) and California Institute of the Arts (MFA 2008). Her solo exhibitions include Actions and Contemplations at Las Cienegas Projects (2009) and Escape Velocity of Time: The Charleston Project in the Mint Gallery, Valencia CA (2008). She has participated in group exhibitions, including 12 Gauge Series, Torrance Museum of Art (2010); Conventions and Attitudes, Los Angeles (2008); Domestic Utensils, Coma, Los Angeles Art (2008); and Changing Ties: Reconsidering Identity Through Cross-Cultural Interventions, Avenue 50, Los Angeles (2008). She is also a contributor to the Liberator Magazine.
